GRIMFIST Vocalist FREDIABLO: 'I Am Fed Up As Hell With Sh*t Regarding Metal Music'

July 13, 2006

GRIMFIST vocalist Frediablo (GORELORD, ex-NECROPHAGIA) has released the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"The time I knew would come has arrived. I am fed up as hell with shit regarding metal music. I have no inspiration left whatsoever!!!! Just the thought of having to be 'productive' makes me wanna puke and kill, and that itself would in the past be inspiration, but right now it all just feels hollow and without substance. The passion I once had for this is no longer present!!! I see no joy in screaming my ass off about anti-religious shit, personal upinions, horror and drunken garbage!! I will still (if the guys want me to?) record and do vocals for the third GRIMFIST album, as well as the Hole In The Sky festival and the short U.K. tour, but beyond that I'm done!!!! There is no point in me going on with this when my heart 'for this' is dead!!!! I've always said that when the day my passion for extreme music is gone, I will step down and walk away.... no looking back!!! Well, that day hass arrived!! When I feel done, I'm done!!! Everyone with a body that has nothing more to give knows what the hell I'm talking about, and everyone who hasn't just needs to keep on kicking ass!!!!

"I will always listen to PANTERA, ASESINO, MACHINE HEAD, KORN, BIOHAZARD, CANNIBAL CORPSE, BRUJERIA, JOURNEY, SEPULTURA bla bla bla !!! My list is not correct regarding what should be and what not!! But who gives a fucking shit??!!!!??!!! I am not ooooolld fucking schoooool!!!! I am not metalcore!!! I am what I am, just like everyone else, and with the right set of balls (although I lost one to cancer),no one can tell you that what you do or say is wrong!!!! Insanity is fucking endless. I love music, but I just hate as well!!! Enough is enough!!!!

"Everyone knows that this industry is full of fake assholes and idiots out to make money and money only. For the record... I was NEVER like that!!! I did, have, and ALWAYS will play music that I wanna play regardless!!!! No one will EVER tell me what to do musically!!!

"I don't mean to sound bitter, and most people won't even give a flying fuck if i'm gone or not, but to the ones that do, I just wanna say thanks a fucking bunch for all your support and 'kick-ass' attitude. Be stronger than I am and was loving, hating, beeing a friend, caring for other people, or just not beeing a person!!!! My body is empty right now.... hopefully it will regain its strength??!!!"

Frediablo's HEMNUR black metal project led recently entered GodFed Studios to begin recording its sophomore album, entitled "Kalde Faen". The follow-up to 2005's "Satanic Hellride" (Infernus Rex) was described in a press release as "another primitive and vulgar black metal attack."
